For example, our SDK can be used to power advanced formats and interactive overlays from providers. Here’s how it works:

  1. Datazoom Detects: The Datazoom SDK monitors the MediaTailor stream and detects the exact moment a non-linear ad is supposed to appear, firing a NONLINEAR_AD_START event.

  2. Triggers: This event is used as a trigger to tell your advanced format (e.g., squeeze backs) ad partner SDK to render its interactive ad overlay.

  3. Datazoom Cleans Up: As soon as the ad duration is over, Datazoom fires a NONLINEAR_AD_END event, which tells the advanced format ad partner to close the overlay and restore the video.

This provides a seamless, powerful way to add advanced interactive ads to your SSAI streams—a capability that was previously incredibly difficult to implement.

These SDKs are separate from Datazoom's paid telemetry service.
