Less Friction, More Security: Datazoom Now Supports Single Sign-On (SSO)
As your team grows, managing separate usernames and passwords for every platform becomes a major source of friction and a significant security burden. Your IT team wants centralized control. Your users just want to get to work without remembering another password.
We're excited to announce a new feature that solves both: Datazoom now supports Single Sign-On (SSO).
One Login, Total Control
This new feature allows your organization to integrate the Datazoom platform with your corporate SAML-based identity provider.
This is a fundamental upgrade for security, efficiency, and user experience.
Enhanced Security: By tying Datazoom access to your central identity provider, you eliminate platform-specific passwords. When an employee leaves the company, their access is revoked from one central place—your SSO provider—instantly removing their access to Datazoom.
Centralized Management: Your IT and security teams can now manage Datazoom console access using the same tools and policies they use for every other application. This streamlines provisioning, de-provisioning, and auditing.
Reduced Friction: Your users get a seamless, "one-click" login experience. They can sign in to Datazoom using the same corporate credentials they use for everything else. No more forgotten passwords, no more "reset password" tickets.
Now Available: AWS IAM Identity Center
Our first implementation of this new SSO capability is with AWS IAM Identity Center (formerly AWS SSO).
The integration is a straightforward SAML 2.0 setup. Your AWS administrator simply adds Datazoom as a new SAML 2.0 application within the IAM Identity Center.
We've made the process as simple as possible. To get you started, the Datazoom team will provide you with a unique User Pool ID and Cognito Domain URL. Your admin will use these to configure the Application ACS URL and Application SAML audience in AWS.
After mapping a few key attributes (like email) and sharing the AWS metadata file with us, your team will be ready to log in with their AWS credentials.
This is a step forward for our enterprise customers, and we're excited to be rolling out support for other major identity providers soon.
