Exploring the Datazoom Dashboard
Welcome back. Thanks for joining us!
In this video, we’ll explore the Datazoom Dashboard, your gateway to configuring collectors and connectors as well as setting up, and monitoring the data flowing through, your organization’s data pipes. We’ll explore the specifics for creating data pipes, in another video.
The Dashboard screen provides an “at a glance” understanding of your Datazoom usage. We don’t compute metrics or analytics, but we do provide you with information pertaining to the amount of data passing through Data Pipes, your active Collectors and Connectors, as well as other important information. Let’s explore the dashboard together now.
Starting from the top, you’ll notice the directory menu which allows you to navigate between this Dashboard and the Data Pipes, Collectors, and Connectors screens.
Moving down the screen, you’ll notice a high-level illustration of your active Data Pipes, Collectors, and Connectors.
Beneath this display, we provide your organization’s data usage for a given month. We want to empower your organization with as much customization potential as possible to tailor data strategies to budgetary and personnel constraints.
One component of your Datazoom subscription price is the data egressing from our platform. Actively monitoring this screen will let data managers keep costs in check without sacrificing the precision of the metrics computed from our data. We express this numerically and as a chart.
In the next video, we’ll walk through setting up a Datazoom Collector, which along with Datazoom Connectors form the basis for Data Pipes, Datazoom’s signature data control capabilities.
