Diane Strutner, CEO

Diane Strutner is the CEO of Datazoom, which she co-founded in January 2017. 

A Silicon Valley native and accomplished international executive, Diane has demonstrated her leadership abilities and sales & business development acumen within the American and Spanish startup scenes. Before Datazoom, Diane was VP for Global Sales and Business Development at NicePeopleAtWork. Prior to that, she held sales and business development positions at several internet and software startups in Spain.

In addition to her activities with Datazoom, she is the Founder of BeOnAlert, a sexual harassment reporting platform created in response to the #TimesUp and #MeToo movements and a co-founder of WomenInStreamingMedia.org and industry forum promoting diversity in the streaming media space. 

Michael Skariah, CTO

Michael is an experienced technology leader. He was previously the Director of Engineering at Ooyala. As a 15+ year veteran of Software Technology Management, with a focus on Software Architecture, Software Development, and Integration, his experience includes managing globally distributed Big Data teams to deliver multiple product offerings including Analytics and Personalization products in all phases of the software development. He excels at structuring complex tasks across large teams to deliver solutions on time and on schedule.

Antonio Gentile, Director of Customer Operations

Tony joined Datazoom in January 2018 following an extensive career in print and digital media. Spanning his work experience, Tony has held technology management positions at several major publishers including McGraw-Hill, Condé Nast, and immediately prior to Datazoom, a 17-year tenure at The Walt Disney Company/ESPN. 

At ESPN, Tony held roles such as IT Director for ESPN the Magazine, Senior Director within the Technology Innovation team, and most recently, Senior Director of Technical and Content Operations for ESPN’s premier streaming service, WatchESPN.

Laura Burkhart, Director of Partnerships 

Laura Burkhart joined the Datazoom team in October 2018 after a 20 years’ long career in the advertising technology scene. She spent 10 years at FreeWheel, where she managed FreeWheel¹s largest and most strategic customers (including names like ESPN, Microsoft, FOX, and CBSTD) and where she also helped launch FreeWheel's Marketplace. Before FreeWheel, Laura held senior roles at Jumpstart Automotive Media, DoubleClick, and KPMG LLP.

Laura is a native Northern Californian, drives an F150, and resides in Woodside, CA. Outside of work, she serves as Secretary of Woodside's Livestock & Equestrian Heritage Committee (LEHC) and volunteers with the Woodside Area Horse Owners Association (WHOA.)  On weekends you will find her riding her horse, Ben, and spending time with her French Bulldog, Francois.  

Robert Carlson - Director of Product

Bob became a Datazoomer in Spring of 2018 after heading up Product for the GoPro and MobiTV software platforms.  His experience leading the development of video streaming applications and big data platforms proves him to be an invaluable resource for providing expertise for Datazoom's vision of Adaptive Video Logistics.  

Bob enjoys spending time with his family on or near the water -- at the beach, on a boat or in the pool.  Bob is a passionate home cook & baking aficionado and has his hands full training two new puppies - Smokey & the Bandit.


Datazoom was founded in 2017 by Diane Strutner and Jason Thibeault who are both passionate about data technology and the streaming video industry.
